PETROTECH-2009 and FICCI sign Memorandum of Understanding
FICCI - A national organisation that represents and aggregates multiple Chambers
of Commerce has agreed to to lend its expertise to organise the Parallel Track event.
The Parallel Track event titled 'Indian Retail Revolution-Challenges and Solutions
in Fuel Retailing' will be held on January 13th-14th, 2009.

gateway interfaces between the Delegates, PETROTECH Website and Banking systems
in a secured environment to facilitate online payments.
Delegates will be able to give their card details and payment instructions directly
to payment gateway in a secure session. It removes any human interface both at the
point of Delegates transaction with the PETROTECH Website and subsequently during
the settlement of the transaction with banking systems. This has been achieved by
using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology, which helps encrypt transaction
data using 280 bit RSA and 128 bit encryption.

Dr. R.K. Pachauri, Chairman of the Panel of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
(IPCC), has consented to deliver an address to the delegates & participants of PETROTECH-2009
on 12th January 2009 at 1230 Hrs.
The IPCC headed by Dr Pachauri received the Nobel Peace Prize in December 2007
jointly alongwith former U.S. Vice President, Mr. Al Gore, for their efforts to
build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to
lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change.
IPCC has been established by World Meteorological Organization and United Nations
Environment Programme.
To acknowledge his immense contribution to the field of environment, science & engineering
Dr Pachauri has been earlier awarded the Padma Bhushan & Padma Vibhushan—India's
highest civilian awards.
